Rangoli
•Rangoli is a Hindu folk art, generally created on a floor on special festive occasions.
•The origin of this art can be traced to the Puranas (works on Hindu mythology).
•Rangoli means a row of colours.
•Rangoli, also known as Kolam in South India and many other parts of India.
•It is the ancient Hindu religious floor art.
Here in Greendale, the Primary 2 pupils get to learn about the origin of the artwork and also they get a chance to try to make one on their own.

Art Attack Camp, 5th
It was the June holidays. While all the students in
This N4 COP Art Camp is a collaboration between five schools in the North zone namely, Montfort Junior, Maris Stella Primary, Fernvale Primary, Greendale Primary and Mee Toh Primary. Pupils who show passion in Art were selected to participate in this unique Art Camp. Our teacher, Mdm Nasheda Binte Hamzah, who brought the pupils out was also one of the organizing team. She helped to plan and carry out one of the five interesting and engaging art activities for that day.
There were lots of fun and hands-on activities at the Art Camp. Pupils in Greendale Primary got a chance to interact with the pupils from the other four schools and they also got to learn a total of five different types of Art Work taught by the teachers representing each school.
They learnt how to do:
1) Yarn Weaving taught by a teacher from Maris Stella Primary
2) Chinese Art Painting taught by a teacher from Montfort Junior,
3) 3D Puppet Gloves taught by Mdm Nasheda from Greendale Primary,
4) Dip Dyeing taught by a teacher from Fernvale Primary and lastly,
5) Paper Mask taught by a teacher from Mee Toh Primary.

Besides learning how to do the five different types of art and crafts, the pupils also got a chance to play two very interesting teambuilding games. Everyone enjoyed themselves.
It was a long and exciting day for everyone at the camp!
