Rangoli

•Rangoli is a Hindu folk art, generally created on a floor on special festive occasions.
•The origin of this art can be traced to the Puranas (works on Hindu mythology).
•Rangoli means a row of colours.
•Rangoli, also known as Kolam in South India and many other parts of India.
•It is the ancient Hindu religious floor art.

Here in Greendale, the Primary 2 pupils get to learn about the origin of the artwork and also they get a chance to try to make one on their own.
